Kyoto Scooter Tour is operated and managed by March Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”). These Terms of Use stipulate the matters that customers (hereinafter referred to as “Tour Participants”) must observe when using this tour.
1. You may apply for the tour by one of the following methods:
・You can make a reservation by calling our company, applying through our website, or booking via a travel agent by 5:00 p.m. on the business day prior to your scheduled tour date.
・By applying via the Company’s website.
・By applying through a travel agency.
2. The minimum height requirement for operating a scooter is 155 cm. There is no height requirement for riding as a tandem passenger on the rear seat.
3. When applying, please present your driver’s license (international driver’s license).
4. Tour Participants may cancel their reservation by notifying the Company at least two business days prior to the scheduled tour date.
5. If you do not contact the Company in advance and the tour start time passes, the reservation will be automatically canceled.
6. A cancellation fee of 50% of the tour price will be charged for cancellations made on the day before the tour, and 100% of the tour price for cancellations made on the day of the tour.
7. In the case of cancellation due to severe weather, no cancellation fee will be charged.
Any personal information obtained by the Company in connection with the use of the scooter tour shall be handled with strict care, in accordance with the Company’s privacy policy.
1. The tour fee shall be paid in advance, according to the price for the selected course.
2. Please note that no refunds can be given if the tour duration is shortened at the Tour Participant’s request.
3. Payment can be made using cash and also via accepted credit cards, approved digital methods.
・Tour A (4 hours): 30,000 yen (tax included)
・Tour B (6 hours): ¥ (tax included)
・Tour C (7 hours): ¥ (tax included)
・Obaku-sō Manpuku-ji Temple (a 5-minute walk from JR Nara Line Obaku Station or Keihan Uji Line Obaku Station)
・In front of the March Inc. head office (reachable via MK Taxi from Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit)
・For safety reasons, participation may be refused to individuals under 155 cm in height, those whose driving skills are deemed inadequate, or those who intend to ride tandem with an infant.
If the scooter malfunctions or is damaged during the tour, it will be replaced promptly. The Company will not be liable for any damages incurred by the participant or any third party due to such malfunctions unless the Company is at fault.
・If the scooter key is lost as well as damaged, a replacement fee of ¥ (tax included) will be required.
・If the helmet is lost as well as damaged, a replacement fee of ¥ (tax included) will be charged.
・If the windbreaker is lost as well as damaged, a replacement fee of ¥ (tax included) will be charged.
・By agreeing to these Terms of Use, Tour Participants will be covered by various forms of liability insurance while operating the scooter. The Company will compensate for the Tour Participant’s liability for damages up to the following limits:
・Death or permanent disability: ¥_ ten thousand
・Daily hospitalization benefit: ¥_ per day
・Surgery during hospitalization: ¥_
・Personal liability: ¥_
・Any damages exceeding the above compensation limits shall be borne by the Tour Participant.
・In the event of an accident caused by a violation of these Terms of Use, compensation under the Company’s insurance and indemnification system may not apply.
・If the circumstances fall under an exemption clause of the insurance policy, the compensation mentioned above may not be applicable. In such cases, the Tour Participant shall bear all associated costs.
・Note: In the event of an accident, an investigation by the insurance company, a police report, and an official accident certificate are required.
Tour Participants who engage in any of the following acts will be required to discontinue the tour immediately:
・Driving under the influence of alcohol, driving recklessly or dangerously, or any acts in violation of traffic laws.
・Allowing anyone other than the registered Tour Participant to operate the scooter.
・Any act in violation of public order and morality.
The Company may refuse tour participation on the day of the tour if:
・It is recognized that the Tour Participant cannot comply with the prohibitions stated in the previous section.
・The Tour Participant is recognized to be associated with organized crime groups, related organizations, or other antisocial forces.
・A storm or other severe weather is occurring or predicted.
・The Company otherwise deems participation inappropriate.
These Terms of Use, business days, operating hours, and service details may be changed without prior notice. Please be aware of this possibility.
If a Tour Participant violates these Terms of Use, participation may be terminated even during the tour, and the participant will be asked to leave. In such a case, the Company will not refund any fees already paid. Furthermore, if the Company or a third party suffers damages as a result of a violation of these Terms of Use, the Company may seek compensation for such damages from the participant.
